Yet reality check takes viewers to something slightly different, something more of a dragster, something more of a demon. It is the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT that comes with a demon tag. And by demon Dodge means a dragster.
2018 Dodge Challenger: Designed to burn rubber
The Demon is considered to be Dodge’s full time production drag vehicle. Speculations say Doge has even gone so far to drag compatible skinny front wheels as standard with all its variants. As compared to its Hellcat sibling, this US-based automaker claims to make Dodge Challenger 2018 SRT almost 250 lbs lighter.
A recent release of its fifth teaser video claims Challenger to have a unique air intake termed as “Air Grabber” by Dodge. It claims that this cold intake “Air Grabber” is the largest ever installed on any production vehicle measuring 54 square–inches in diameter.
2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon hood scoops will have a large air box sealed to it along with a couple of “Air Catcher” Headlamps. These inclusion aid in better air flow and reduced heating problems by almost 30 degrees as compared to the Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
About its interiors, the base 2018 Challenger SRT Demon will rid of a lot of things including front and rear passenger seats. That’s right. Dodge claims that removing seats, seat belts and other carpeting associated with it will help shred of almost 113 lbs improving its acceleration.
However, this model will be available with pretty much every feature from model’s lineup. If you want the front and rear seats they will cost $1 each. You will also be able to configure your Demon vehicle with the heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, a sunroof, Harman Kardon sound system with 19 speakers, etc.

Expect Dodge to throw in a 6.2 Liters HEMI V8 engine directly from the Hellcat but more powerful. The 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon will be capable of producing 840 HP of power along with 770 lb-ft of torque surpassing Hellcats horse value of 707 HP by some extent. These power and torque numbers will be achievable while burning 100 octane fuel. This is, of course, the most powerful V-8 engine built in the factory. When engine is powered by 91-octane gas the power and torque will be at 808 hp and 717 lb-ft respectively.

Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is likely to cost from the $80,000 mark. It would probably get released by late 2017 or early 2018. Dodge will offer 3, 000 units of this model for the US market.
