All 2018 GMC Sierra models will differ in terms of size and powertrains they come with. The present generation has V6 and V8 engine under its hood.
There can be a V6 unit with 4.3-liter capacity in the light-duty version with the power output around 285 hp. Two more engines should be available with the Sierra 1500. A 5.3-liter V-8 will produce around 355 hp while with the 6.3-liter V-8 you can count on about 420 horsepower.
On the other hand, for the heavy-duty jobs, these trucks will get two engine options. The 6.0-liter Vortec V-8 engine will provide about 360 hp and torque of about 380 pound-feet. The towing leader will be a 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine. Heavily reworked and with the new air supplying system this engine can produce 445 hp and impressive torque of 910 lb-ft.
2018 GMC Sierra: Price and Availability
2018 GMC Sierra will arrive late in 2017 or early in 2018. Since this new pickup truck is more advanced in terms of technology, a slight increase in price is expected. Presently, the base light-duty model is available from around $28,000. On the other hand, the HD models will start from about $36, 000.
