2018 Infiniti Q60: Release Date, Red Sport, Price

The after a longer period of time, the Infiniti Q60 has finally gotten a much needed complete redesign as the 2017 model year. It has received new and much powerful engine and new transmission too. Furthermore, the exterior has been revised with more modern design and interesting details. The cabin too received more equipment and more luxurious styling. So, for the 2018 Infiniti Q60, we cannot expect anything major. As the matter of fact, it will most likely be a carryover model.

After a full overhaul the exterior looks just amazing so there was no need to change anything this time. The same is applied for the cabin which has been upgraded with more quality materials and top notch features. Under the hood, the costumers will also have a choice between three strong units.

New Infiniti will be available in several different trims. Those are: Pure, Luxe, Sport and Red Sport 400. Its key rivals on the market will be: BMW 4-Series, Cadillac ATS Coupe and Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe.

Speaking of the engine department, the 2018 Infiniti Q60 will arrive with three engines to choose from. So, the base unit will be a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo with the output of 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

The next option will be a 3.0-liter V-6 which will be able to develop 300 horses and the torque of 295 pound-feet. The last one will be the most powerful which will power the Red Sport 400 model. It is a 3.0-liter V-6 twin-turbo engine. This one will be able to produce 400 hp and 350 pound-feet of torque.

Moreover, all the engines pair to a seven-speed automatic transmission. As for the drivetrain, there will be a choice between rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configuration. The overall fuel efficiency of the Q60 is 25 mpg.

Design of exterior and interior

As for the exterior design, the 2018 Infiniti Q60 will continue with the same look as the current 2017 model. It features very attractive and handsome styling. The front fascia is dominated by larger, extended grille and narrow LED headlamps which give it more aggressive appearance. On the rear, we will notice redesigned tail lamps which are very similar to the ones found on the Chevrolet Camaro. The Q60 rides on 19-inch wheels while the Red Sport 400 will get larger 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.

Inside, the 2018 Infiniti Q60 is very spacious and comfortable. There will be a choice between several interior colors and materials. Furthermore, the car maker claims that the new Infiniti features one of the quietest cabin in its class thanks to the active noise cancellation. The dashboard will get large dual touchscreens with infotainment system too.

As for the equipment, it comes standard with dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and ignition, Bluetooth, a rearview camera, power adjustable front seats, Bose premium audio system etc. When it comes to the safety, the top trims will include adaptive cruise control, active lane control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning and so on.

Release date and price

The 2018 Infiniti Q60 should hit the market this fall. As for the pricing, it should stay similar to the current model which starts at around $40,000.
