This engine has direct injection and variable valve system. It also operates on the Atkinson cycle which is more efficient. The engine will work in the combination with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive will be standard and all-wheel drive optional. The F-Sport version will get the special suspension.
On the other hand, the hybrid version will combine the 3.5-liter V-6 engine with electric motors and continuously variable transmission for the total output of around 308 hp. The fuel economy of this model will be around 30 mpg average.
