Suzuki Motor Company has shown its brand new and attractive 2018 Suzuki Swift at 2017 Geneva Motor Show. All new Suzuki Swift will represent the third generation model. Japanese manufacturer has decided to improve one of its best selling and popular hatchbacks which will be seen in all segments of the vehicle. This iconic car will bring many upgrades. They will all be visible both in exterior and interior, under the hood and in tech features too.
New Swift will be a great choice for city driving because of its small dimensions. Therefore, if you are in a market for something like this, then you should definitively wait for a while, because it will be worth waiting.
Engine and performance
2018 Suzuki Swift will be available with few types of engines. The base is going to be a 1.2-liter Dualjet petrol engine. This unit will produce 90 horsepower and 118 pound-feet of torque. It will be mated to a 5-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission. As for the drive configuration, the power will be sent to front or all wheels. The next option will be a 1.0-liter turbo Boosterjet engine with the output of 100 horses and 150 pound-feet of torque. This engine will be paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
A sport version will get a 1.4-liter Boosterjet turbo-for engine. This one will be capable of making 140 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. And it will, most likely, get a six-speed manual gearbox. As for the acceleration, it will definitively be improved. Now, New Suzuki should be able to reach 62 mph in less than 8 seconds (at the current model, the number is 8.7 seconds).
2018 Suzuki Swift exterior and interior design

Speaking of dimensions, new Suzuki will be shorter for 10 mm which will make it easier to handle. Furthermore, its wheelbase will be longer for 20 mm which will provide more interior space.
When it comes to exterior, 2018 Suzuki Swift will be nicely sculpted and slightly refreshed. The front end will feature new bumper, sweptback headlamps with LED daytime running lights and revised grille. The rear fascia will be revamped with new taillights with LED technology as well and new bumper.
Inside, 2018 Suzuki Swift will get some minor changes and will look sportier. The center stack will feature touchscreen display with new infotainment display. The cabin will be more comfortable and spacious because of the larger dimensions of the vehicle. The safety will be improved too with new features.
