This 2018 Volkswagen Amarok will be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel engine that has been configured to produce different outputs. The figures of highest output go as 220 HP and an impressive 406 lb-ft of torque.
This engine has been mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission system. Manual shifting is also possible as paddle shifter is presented on the steering wheel. In its lowest state of tune, the V6 TDI mill will produce 161 HP. A manual transmission will be available with this engine.
Rear-wheel drive comes as standard and 4Motion AWD is presented as optional. According to the company, this pickup truck can take a sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 7.9 seconds. Its top speed has been 120 mph.

The update on 2018 Volkswagen Amarok’s exterior body is moderate. The front fascia is refreshed with the use of a new grille and it also adds new headlights. This new grille has 2 horizontal slats which give a distinctive styling. One of the most important updates is the approach angle which seems impressive. Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux are two greatest rivals of this pickup truck. This 2018 Volkswagen Amarok costs around $900 more than the last model. Its starting price is around $28,850.
